Trial Date set in Highland Park “huffing” DUI crash

According to the Chicago Tribune, 18 year old Carly Rousso entered a plea of not guilty to reckless homicide and aggravated DUI for the Labor Day weekend crash that killed five year old Jaclyn Santos-Sacramento.  Rousso is accused of “huffing” or “dusting” fumes from a computer cleaning dust product.  She is facing a maximum sentence of 26 years in prison.

Rousso’s attorney, Douglas Zeit (who is also the Village Prosecutor for Riverwoods in Lake County), asked for and received a trial date of February 1rst.
